Quinn, Jim
Jim was appointed President & CEO of the Saint John Port Authority in September 2010, bringing over 30 years of experience in the marine and public sectors. His career began with the Coast Guard in 1973, where he held leadership roles, including Regional Director and Director General of Marine Programs. After 23 years with the Coast Guard, Jim served as a Senior Advisor in the Privy Council Office and held several leadership positions at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, culminating in his role as Chief Financial Officer/Assistant Deputy Minister. He later served as CFO at the Canadian International Development Agency before transitioning to Port Saint John. Jim, a Dalhousie University graduate and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), has also been involved in leadership roles within the Association of Canada Port Authorities and the American Association of Port Authorities. He has served as Honorary Lieutenant Colonel for the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment and has been active in various community initiatives, including poverty reduction and youth employment in Saint John.
