Privacy Policy
Effective Date: December 2025
Poliforum (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how it is shared, and your rights under Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws. By using poliforum.org (the “Site”), you agree to this Policy.
Who We Are
Poliforum is a membership-based platform offering private groups, communication tools, and community features. Our website is hosted and powered by Wix.com, which provides the infrastructure behind many of the services we offer.
Poliforum is a private-sector organization that operates across Canada. Our data practices are governed by federal and provincial laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial private-sector laws (for organisations operating under provincial jurisdiction such as Alberta and British Columbia), and Quebec’s modernized private-sector regime. We also comply with Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) for electronic messages. These laws require meaningful consent, limited collection, transparency, access and correction rights, and—in many circumstances—breach reporting and notification.
