Rate Your Politician
The private sector rates many services like food delivery, hotels and customer service calls. However, we do not rate our elected officials. With Poliforum's reviewing system, citizens participate in democracy by voicing their thoughts and feelings through constructive feedback that is a valuable indicator for these officials. These reviews serve as a feedback loop both for citizens and for the government.

Francis, Brian
Senator Brian Francis, born on Lennox Island First Nation, PEI, is the first Mi'kmaw/Lnu to represent Epekwitk/Prince Edward Island in the Senate of Canada. Overcoming early educational challenges, he became the first Indigenous person on the Island to earn an inter-provincial red seal in carpentry. His 40-year career spanned roles in the federal government and First Nations leadership, including serving as Chief of Abegweit First Nation from 2007 to 2018. Senator Francis has been a strong advocate for the social, economic, and cultural well-being of Indigenous communities, notably leading initiatives in infrastructure, education, and governance. He played a pivotal role in establishing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, aligning with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 80. He continues to work towards positive change for Epekwitk and beyond, living near Charlottetown with his wife, Georgina.
