Rate Your Politician
The private sector rates many services like food delivery, hotels and customer service calls. However, we do not rate our elected officials. With Poliforum's reviewing system, citizens participate in democracy by voicing their thoughts and feelings through constructive feedback that is a valuable indicator for these officials. These reviews serve as a feedback loop both for citizens and for the government.

Clement, Bernadette
Senator Bernadette Clement is a trailblazing legal aid lawyer and politician, recognized as the first Black woman to serve as mayor in Ontario, having been elected as mayor of Cornwall. She served three terms as a city councillor before her historic mayoral election. With a rich intersectional identity, including a francophone mother from Manitoba and an anglophone father from Trinidad, she is a strong advocate for linguistic plurality and the rights of marginalized groups. Appointed to the Senate in June 2021, Senator Clement actively participates in committees on Legal and Constitutional Affairs, Transport and Communications, and Official Languages. She continues to practice law part-time, focusing on representing injured workers, and remains deeply engaged with her community in Cornwall, Ontario.
