Brenda Locke
Brenda Locke, elected as mayor in 2022, is a former MLA and city councillor. Locke’s leadership focuses on improving public safety, particularly around gang violence, and addressing housing affordability. She is also an advocate for better transit infrastructure and urban planning in one of British Columbia’s fastest-growing cities. Locke aims to create a safer, more accessible Surrey that can meet the needs of its diverse population.
